British public school recruits five Chinese students from our school for the first time

In September this year, our school will send five outstanding students to the UK St Mary Magdalene Academy to study IB courses. This is the first time the British public school will receive Chinese students to study IB courses. In early June, the BBC interviewed the principal of St Mary Magdalene Academy specifically on this matter. Great numbers of media both in Britain and China has reported and republished about this event.

St Mary Magdalene Academy, a full-time religious school that is funded by the British government located in Islington, London. St Mary Magdalene Academy has well-qualified teachers and staff. The students there have excellent grades, which is outstanding among those schools that can award an IB Diploma. Both of us share the common idea of international education and select international education as the target.

In January, the Vice Principal of our school Li Min and teachers visited St Mary Magdalene Academy. Both of us made an encouraging progress in teachers and students exchanges, curricula construction, cooperative education and other aspects of cooperation. Student exchange is one of the most important projects, allowing us to break away from the fact that only private schools have received international students. In China, our school is the first one and the only one who has an exchange programs with British public school, which is of great significance to the internationalization of education and the diversity of curricula construction. In October this year, the Principal of St Mary Magdalene Academy, Paul Hollingum and 3 other people will visit our school to discuss long-term cooperation. The exchange and cooperation between us will continually remain.
