On August, 2013, 29 students and teachers in our school participated in summer exchange program to Kleve, Germany. They visited Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences while the principle gave a warmly welcome. During their stay, students took part in business simulation exercise, visited laboratories, Students Center, accommodation as well as Children Study Center.
A dozen of students were arranged to local host families in order to deeply blend in local German life. In the last class at Kleve, three old soldiers from Poland told students their stories in Nazi concentration camp in those days, which resonated great sympathy among both students and teachers. A few days later, students and teachers visited Herder Grammar School in Gießen for 5 days. It was a precious opportunity for students to go deep among German families and communicate with local residents. Since there is a long-term friendship between our school and Herder Grammar School, our school dispatches teachers to Herder Grammar School to teach Chinese every year. After visiting Heidelberg and Frankfurt, the memorable tour finished at 25th, August.
